Team Kid grades 5^th & 6^th grade are going caroling on Wednesday, December 7^th at 7:00pm.

Team Kid preschool through 6^th grade will have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS PARTY!!!

All children are invited to come and celebrate the birthday of Jesus!

Also the Team Kid store will be open this night so that the

children can spend their points that they have earned throughout the year!

Any toddler or child through 2^nd grade is invited to come and spend this time at the church while parents enjoy some holiday time alone. Children will eat dinner, hear a Bible story, make a craft and play together. Parents that want your children to attend please sign up on the sheet posted in the foyer of the fellowship hall by Sunday, December 18^th.

Youth & Adults – We do need volunteers for Parents Night Out. You may sign – up for a two- hour shift or volunteer for all four hours. The volunteer sign up sheet is postedin the foyer of the fellowship hall. If you have any questions please see Jennifer Conner. Deadline to sign up is Sunday December 18^th.

Can You Help? We want the children at Parents Night Out to have a “Christmas shopping experience”. If you have any gently used items around the house, please consider donating them to our project. A drop-off container will be available for these donations, located in the foyer of the fellowship hall. Thank you for your help!

No Youth Committee Meeting for December.

Concessions - If you would like to volunteer for concessions – there is a sign-up sheet posted in the foyer of the fellowship hall.

 

Also new this year we will have “Upward Host”. This will be someone/or couple that will get to know the families of a team/squad. The coaches build relationships with the cheerleaders and ball players. This will give you an opportunity to build a relationship with the family, just by being a friend and encourager. If you would like to be a friend/encourager to team or cheer squad please sign up in the foyer of the fellowship hall. For more information see Jeff Harris.

 

*Prayer Leaders – If you have not turned in your prayer cards to Sue Campbell please do so soon!

 

Poinsettias! If you would like to buy a red poinsettia in honor or memory of someone this Christmas please pick up a form (on the tables with bulletins) and give it and your money ($8.00) to Phyllis Millsaps, Nancy Henson or Leslie Bivens by Wednesday, December 7^th. The poinsettias will be on display in our church on Sundays December 11^th & 18^th after that you may take them home.

 

Christmas Card Mailbox! Faithful Friends will be sponsoring our annual Christmas card mailbox! If you would like to give Christmas cards to the folks here at our church just drop them off in the card box in the foyer of the sanctuary and we will deliver them for you. Cards will be .20 cents each or by donation. All proceeds will go toward the Lottie Moon Christmas offering for missions. Deadline to bring Christmas cards will be Sunday, December 11^th. This will allow us time to deliver all cards.  

 

Take Note – On Sunday, December 25^th we will only have one worship service and it will be at 10:00am in the MAC. No Sunday School or evening worship that day. There will be no church services on these Wednesday evenings  December 21^st   & Wednesday December 28^th. This will allow you more time with your family during the Christmas season. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Sunday evening, December 11^th at 6:00pm – Children & Youth Christmas Program. This year we are doing something different. The SHINE puppet team will be presenting some new and old Christmas favorites in music, and the children will tell the Christmas story. Please invite your friends, family and especially children to this night as we celebrate the greatest gift of all our Lord & Savoir Jesus Christ!

 

On Sunday Evening, December 18^th at 6:00pm. The choir will present their Christmas cantata “The Heart of Christmas, God’s Greatest Gift, our Greatest Choice”.
