Building For The Future
On December 21, 2003 Blairland Baptist Church voted to appoint a "Time To Build Committee." On May 31, 2009 this committee made their proposal of a Master Plan which included a muti-purpose building and a future sanctuary. The congregation of Blairland Baptist Church then voted to approve this plan by a 95% approval rate. We realize that worthwhile goals are not reached without effort and that every journey requires enough commitment and dedication to last through many different seasons. The successful completion of our building project depends on keeping our church together in unity as we continue to move forward. In November 2009 our church contracted with Falconnier Design Company as our architect for this building project. In December 2009 our financing was secured by Home Federal Bank and we then signed a contract with The George W Reagan Company to build the first phase of our building project a 12,787 square foot multi-purpose building which will include a full gymnasium, eight classrooms, stage, and kitchen. We are very excited about the direction God is leading us and look forward to occupying this new facility in the summer/fall 2010. We will attempt to keep those interested in our progress through this building project with pictures posted here on our website. If you would like to make a contribution to our Building Fund in honor or memory of someone please mail this contribution to our church's address and mark to the attention of Phyllis Millsaps our Financial Secretary.
