Our desire is to fulfill the Great Commandment by loving God with all our hearts and daily living out the Great Commission by loving our neighbors through service and ministering to their needs. We strive to accomplish this through worship, bible study, youth camps & retreats, annual mission trips as well as, local mission activities in our church and community.
Blairland Baptist Church realizes the importance of Family Ministry. We provide activities through the work of our Youth Committee and Director of Student Ministries. We are driven by the desire to have events that bring our youth to Jesus and membership into his family, develop them in Christlike maturity, equip them for ministry within the church and their mission in life, all in order to magnify God’s name.
The age levels for ministry opportunities for the youth at Blairland are 7th – 12th grade with many areas of service to choose from. These ministry opportunities are:
· Sunday School classes that meet for bible study each Sunday at 9:45 am.
· Youth Quake which is an interactive DVD-based class that meets each Wednesday at 6:00 pm. Our desire is to cover topics that are most relevant to our youth in today’s society.
· Dramatic Arts which includes interpretive movement, and blacklight puppetry. The youth perform at Vacation Bible School, Youth Sunday services, nursing homes and annual mission trips.
At Blairland we realize what a great responsibility and opportunity we have to help influence and develop the spiritual maturity of our youth. This is not something we take lightly and we are committed to be a church that reaches out and supports the youth in our community and around the world.
